Adopt augmentation rather than automation as a strategy

Suggesiton for "what reaching this vision would mean for New Zealanders":

All industries will be able to leverage technology and in particular, Artificial Intelligence, to augment the workforce, getting the best that people and machines can bring to the table, without losing the benefits of both. An augmented work force is far more innovative, sustainable, resilient and productive than an automated work force, because the former can adapt over time, whereas the latter is stuck in time.

Why the contribution is important

If we don't start adopting an augmentation strategic approach, then sectors will continue to be motivated by automation at the cost of jobs, ethics, and traceability. An augmented approach to AI brings the best of humans and machines to a workforce, and the govt could lead by example with AI supported policy making, participatory policy development like in Taiwan, and supporting personal helpers (Siri, Alexa, etc) as part of the govt service channels.
